The week was filled with worship, fellowship, service, and new experiences. The team attended a Southern Baptist church service, shared a potluck meal with members of the UUMC congregation, enjoyed time fishing and swimming, and toured their first mission site, FriendShip. Throughout the week, they served in a variety of ways, including yard work, mowing, weed whacking, sorting food and recyclables, and assisting with projects around the FriendShip compound. At Sleep In Heavenly Peace, the team helped build 22 beds and prepared several for delivery, providing children in need with safe and comfortable places to sleep. Additional service opportunities included volunteering at a local thrift store, sorting clothing and cleaning shelves, and assisting at Reins of Hope, where team members helped care for horses and observe therapeutic riding sessions.
