{"id":2966,"date":"2019-12-17T17:09:13","date_gmt":"2019-12-17T17:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lordofthelakes.net\/?p=2966"},"modified":"2019-12-17T17:09:17","modified_gmt":"2019-12-17T17:09:17","slug":"december-2019-bldg-grounds-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lordofthelakes.net\/index.php\/2019\/12\/17\/december-2019-bldg-grounds-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"December 2019 Bldg &#038; Grounds Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;3.22&#8243;][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;3.25&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;3.25&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;|||&#8221; custom_padding__hover=&#8221;|||&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.0.9&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>BUILDING &amp; GROUNDS MINUTES:\u00a0 December 10, 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>PRESENT:\u00a0 Kate Pfaendtner, Rick Pierre, Lou Zwicky, Warren Winter, Dave Smolinski, Betts Nikolai, Brad Gasper, Tom Zillges, Jan Olson<\/p>\n<p>Kate opened the meeting at 6:30 with a prayer.\u00a0 There were no visitors.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>BUNN COFFEE MAKER<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Purchased and set-up in the Breakfast Bar area along with various coffee supplies now stored in that area.\u00a0 There are directions on use posted in the area along with a note to keep it plugged in.\u00a0 Kate will ask Doris to track energy bills for the first month to see if the coffee maker heating water intermittently causes a large jump in cost.\u00a0 If so, we will then go to having it unplugged and it will need to be plugged in at least 20 minutes prior to use.\u00a0 A huge thank you to the anonymous donor of this coffee maker.\u00a0 To give us a jump start, we also have a large supply of prepacked packets of coffee \u2013 donated by a 2<sup>nd<\/sup> anonymous donor.\u00a0 Kate is working with Jill\/Ellen with a process of ordering coffee and other kitchen supplies on-line.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>ELECTRICAL UPGRADE<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 deferred until Daryl is present.\u00a0 In the interim, Kate will try to meet with Daryl and Warren re:\u00a0 electrical needs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>FIBER OPTIC CABLE<\/u><\/strong>: in Sanctuary.\u00a0 Brad is costing out supplies.\u00a0 Actual installation will depend on when we rent the aerial lift.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>EAST DOOR REPLACEMENT<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Per Tom, it is ready to be installed and now awaiting warmer weather \u2013 perhaps the end of this week.\u00a0 That will cause that area to be open for some time but can be done in one day.\u00a0 The repair will also include the south wall next to the door which is covered by sheet rock right now.\u00a0 Per Warren, this was from a previous frozen\/broken water pipe repair.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>CARPET CLEANER<\/u><\/strong>: Per Betts, John Abraham states the machine is in working order but is having difficulty getting the dry cleaner that goes with this machine.\u00a0 Betts states she found another product on-line and will be checking with John if this will work.\u00a0 Otherwise, John is still trying to find the product that goes with the machine though it has been ordered and is on back order.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>SANCTUARY CEILING:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 Kate reported Ed Veith is recommending using a latex, very rapid drying, non-splatter paint but unsure if it will cover the discolored areas.\u00a0 He will try putting a small area on to see if it covers.\u00a0 The alternative is an oil-based paint which will cause increased weight on the ceiling as well as be difficult to work with due to splatter and weight and need for use of respirators and other safety gear to install.\u00a0 We still don\u2019t have an answer re: paint interrupting the acoustical properties of the ceiling. More research needed:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kate to research a bid on ceiling replacement versus cost of paint with Ed donating his labor.\u00a0 Kate will also check with the Director at the Winneconne PAC to see his knowledge or a recommendation of who to contact re: acoustic concern.\u00a0\u00a0 She will also make contact with Dave Williamson who was involved with initial choice of this ceiling.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Brad to research cost of Lift with articulating arm rental as well as cost and logistics of putting collars on diffusor plates to help divert the heat and air blowing directly on the ceilings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>DEFFERED MAINTENANCE<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 HVAC \u2013 per Brad, Ryf will be getting back to us with quotes on replacement of furnaces and air conditioners. Since we had previously signed a contract with LaForce, Kate will send a letter informing them that due to their non-response re: getting this scheduled, we have determined we need to go with another company.<\/p><p><strong><u>Sanctuary Ceiling<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 While Steve from Albright was here, he looked at our Sanctuary Ceiling.\u00a0 He says it can be spray painted with a newer type paint, that will not add much weight.\u00a0 He will be sending a quote.\u00a0 The alternative is to purchase the appropriate paint, rent the lift, etc. and Ed will donate the labor to do it.\u00a0 We have no timeline.<\/p><p><strong><u>Deferred Maintenance and\/or Replacement<\/u><\/strong>: Kate is asking that various items be looked at by a Vendor for estimated longevity and a quote for the purpose of hopefully building an emergency fund so we can repair\/replace as needs occur or be proactive prior to having a crisis. The following will be looked at:<\/p><ul><li>Youth Room \u2013 get quotes for upgrading basement including egress window, etc. vs adding a manufactured home vs a stick addition<\/li><li>Parking lot sealing and resurfacing<\/li><li>Roof repair\/replacement<\/li><li>Siding repair\/replacement<\/li><li>All flooring repair\/replacement \u2013 Betts meeting with A.
