\u00a0<\/strong>Pastor\u2019s Report:\u00a0 <\/strong>Last month was very good.\u00a0 Easter was included in there.\u00a0 Concerning that there are a lot of people getting sick at once.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Buildings & Grounds:\u00a0 <\/strong>Successful spring clean-up with good turnout.\u00a0 Parking lot to be done soon, but cost has gone up due to harsh winter.\u00a0 Back door repair still in progress.\u00a0 Weed patrol is being set up.\u00a0 New maintenance person (Jon Fenrich) is working out very well.\u00a0 Researching having him be involved with inspection of sprinkler system.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Worship: <\/strong>Outdoor service\/picnic still being discussed.\u00a0 Pastor Kevin was asked to do the ecumenical service.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Youth: <\/strong>Volunteers are doing a fantastic job.\u00a0 Had the need to get another van for the mission trip.\u00a0 Fundraising is going well.\u00a0 Youth continue to attend youth group and are excited.<\/p>\n

The interview process is beginning again for the new Youth Director position.\u00a0 Wayne asked about ELCA money that is set aside for youth and if any of that is available to help with our needs.\u00a0 Pastor Kevin said that is worth looking into.<\/p>\n

Finances: <\/strong>We have started the 9-month transition period before switching to calendar year.<\/p>\n

The Operating Budget Total Net Profit YTD <\/strong>as of April 2019 FYE\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 $2787<\/p>\n

There was actually a budgeted loss YTD ($1658), but the Actual Profit YTD is $2787.<\/p>\n

Stewardship: <\/strong>New stewardship campaign beginning.\u00a0 Pastor Kevin and Wayne Ludkey attending meeting at Synod office on 5\/29 for instructions.\u00a0 Committee being assembled.\u00a0 Currently have 5 members.\u00a0 Will try to get some non-council members on committee.\u00a0 Giving is still down compared to previous years.<\/p>\n

Social Media: <\/strong>Web page is being updated so that information is accurate.\u00a0 Sarah is working to keep the LOL Facebook page updated as well.\u00a0 Separate groups are being created on Facebook (members need to \u201cjoin\u201d these groups to get updates.\u00a0 New Women\u2019s Ministry is being used to test this.<\/p>\n

Life and Fellowship: <\/strong>Ecumenical golf outing will be August 18, 2019.<\/p>\n

We Care: <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Other Business<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Assessment of Easter Breakfast was put together.\u00a0 Hand out was given to all council members.\u00a0 Please read for discussion at next council meeting.<\/p>\n

Council is working at Thrift on June 1st<\/sup> from 10:00 a.m. \u2013 2:00 p.m.\u00a0 Geoff Hendren is coordinating.\u00a0 Let him know if you can make it.<\/p>\n

Council to be installed on 5\/26 (later changed to June 9).<\/p>\n

New Business<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Kitchen Changes: <\/strong>Request was made to get rid of the dishwasher (largely unused) and replace it with a good convection oven.\u00a0 Jan is checking on what is needed to remove the dishwasher.\u00a0 There are issues that need to be addressed to make sure it is done correctly.\u00a0 There was also a request made for a commercial grill.\u00a0 There may be more things that would need to be done in order to meet \u201ccode\u201d than LOL is able to do.\u00a0 Would need to research.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Constitution:\u00a0 <\/strong>Jan would like us to relook at the church\u2019s constitution to make sure that it accurately reflects the way things are being done.\u00a0 Need to look at when the last update was done.<\/p>\n
