MEETING OF THE WORSHIP TEAM
\nTUESDAY, APRIL 24, 2018
\nPastor Kevin called the meeting to order and opened with\u00a0prayer.
\nPresent: Dana Hartel, Pastor Kevin Heffernan, Margaret Kohl, Lani Stanek, Ellen Smolinski, and Pam
\nUlness.
\nAbsent: Cindy Hendren, Jody Kell, Holly Nelson, and Kristen Woods
\nThe main focus of the meeting was on the upcoming months of summer. Discussion was as follows:
\nWORSHIP AND ACTIVITIES DURING SUMMER MONTHS
\n\u25cf Sunday, May 13 – Super Sunday worship service with special music from the choir, guitar
\nband, and bell choir. Also Mother\u2019s Day.
\n\u25cf Sunday, May 27 \u2013 The Boy Scouts are planning a short program in which they will present a
\nnew United States flag to the church.
\n\u25cf Saturday, June 16 \u2013 Stacey Pethke has completed her ministry training and has accepted a
\npastoral position in a church located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and will be ordained at
\nLord of the Lakes. A reception will follow the ceremony.
\n\u25cf Sunday, June 24 \u2013 The ladies from the Simple Hope will join us to update all on their
\ncontinuing project in Tanzania.
\n\u25cf Sundays, June 24 through July \u2013 Christmas in July mission project with a Christmas tree and
\npeople may select a tag(s) from the tree to provide necessary items to families in need, along
\nwith possible \u201ctemple talks\u201d during the worship services.
\n\u25cf Sunday, July 15 – Since parking around The Wolf River Inn is limited because of the bridge
\nand street construction, tentative plans for the worship service and picnic lunch will be held at
\nthe church this year. Worship will be held in the Gathering Area with doors open to the back
\nyard area, if weather permits. The potluck picnic is to be served inside. People are invited to
\nbring their lawn chairs and eat outside or, if preferred, can eat inside, too.
\n\u25cf July 14 \u2013 22 \u2013 Regarding the adult mission trip to Nicaragua, Pastor Kevin will speak with
\nKathy Hergert to see if participants would be willing to tell about their experiences upon their
\nreturn at an upcoming worship service.

\nThere being no further business, the meeting was closed with prayer by Pastor Kevin. The next
