{"id":2255,"date":"2018-03-27T18:42:17","date_gmt":"2018-03-27T18:42:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lordofthelakes.net\/?p=2255"},"modified":"2018-03-27T18:42:17","modified_gmt":"2018-03-27T18:42:17","slug":"march-2018-b-grds-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lordofthelakes.net\/index.php\/2018\/03\/27\/march-2018-b-grds-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"March 2018 B &#038; Grds minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lord of the Lakes Church,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Buildings &amp; Grounds Meeting Minutes,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>March 13, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Neil opened meeting at 6:30 P.M.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The following were present: \u00a0Neil Bjornstad, Tim White, Warren Winter, Daryl Ramlow, Dennis Cartwright, Lou Zwicky, Tom Zillges, Jerry Bruss, &amp; Betts Nikolai<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Monthly Maintenance:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Back Flow Preventer Test completed by Cascade Plumbing 03\/12\/2018<\/li>\n<li>Quarterly Inspection Completed 03\/06\/2018 by U.S. Alliance Fire. They recommended changing circuit breaker because of issue with the compressor. Daryl to take care of.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>HVAC: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compressor is holding it\u2019s own. We will continue to Monitor.<\/li>\n<li>Tim White did check into Vendors that deal with Pro Lon Systems. There were three that he came up with:\u00a0\u00a0 Bredan Mechanical Systems\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Milwaukee, WI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mared Mechanical Contractors\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Milwaukee, WI<\/p>\n<p>Just Service, Inc.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Milwaukee, WI.<\/p>\n<p>Daryl does have a friend who works with Bredan Mechanical.\u00a0 He will make contact with him to get imput.\u00a0 The plan is to get someone who is knowlegable with the system to make sure it is set-up correctly. We may have to invest in getting someone to come in and look at it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Old Business: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Youth Room Floors . Tape was not removed when I checked last time.\u00a0 Will check with Courtney.<\/li>\n<li>Security System update None reported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>New Business: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>Budget:<\/u><\/strong> Neil handed out Print out of Expenses Incurred from April 1, 2017 Thru March 5, 2018 &amp; Projected Budget for 2018-2019<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Flag:<\/u><\/strong> \u00a0New rope is in for Flag. \u00a0Either Tim or Joe Groholski will take care of getting Flag back up.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Back Hall needs to be painted.<\/u><\/strong> Tim did talk Ray Zegers.\u00a0 It is not clear whether they are to paint over the mural.\u00a0 Tim to talk to Pastor\/ Council on this.\u00a0 He also mentioned he may talk to Men\u2019s Club about taking this project on.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Digital Sign for Messages\/Annoucements:<\/u><\/strong> Monitor\/ Software\u00a0\u00a0 around $1000.00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other Option\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 $300.00 &#8211; $700.00<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>Outside Sign Project:<\/u><\/strong> Daryl brought in 2 pictures of Signs.\u00a0 One was a Digital Sign that had room under for Additional announcements that was not digital.\u00a0\u00a0 This sign was done in phases over several years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The second picture was a sign that Daryl designed.\u00a0 It was not digital but looked amazing.\u00a0\u00a0 Discussion ensued and Neil asked that we all keep our eyes open and look at different Church Signs around and take pictures.\u00a0 It was then discussed that we get an idea of cost from a Sign Company so we know about what we are looking at financially.\u00a0 Several members of the committee liked the idea of going digitally, but doing in phases.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>Concrete Slab:<\/u><\/strong><u> <\/u>This would be located out the back doors. \u00a0A concrete slab with picnic tables and some type of shade or umbrellas, for people to gather outside.\u00a0 First we would need to locate the conduit before we started this project.\u00a0 Daryl will check into this.\u00a0 We would also need an estimate on concrete.\u00a0 Dennis plans to bring this up at men\u2019s club to see if there would be and interest in them helping.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Spring Lawn Maintenance:<\/u><\/strong><u> <\/u>\u00a0\u00a0Tom Z.\u00a0 did contact Green Boyz Inc. regarding Spring fertilizing and weed control.\u00a0 \u00a0They will take care of.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Parking Lot :<\/u><\/strong><u> <\/u>Tom Z.\u00a0 did contact Fox Valley in regard to a updated estimate on doing parking lot.\u00a0 He has not received as of yet and will let us know at next meeting.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Spring Clean-Up:<\/u><\/strong><u> <\/u>Betts brought up looking at Calendar for dates on the Spring Clean-up.\u00a0 She will contact Jill\/Ellen to see what is on the Church Calendar for mid to Late April or early May.\u00a0 Dates we would be looking at would be April 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 22<sup>nd<\/sup>, &amp;
