\u00a0First Communion<\/span><\/h1>\n

The sacrament of Holy Communion is a tremendous gift from God. We meet at the Lord\u2019s table every week at Lord of the Lakes. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

We believe the sins of the world are taken on the cross and that through the bread and the wine, God continues to set us free in this special gift. Our first communion program begins typically in the third or fourth grade. We leave this decision up to the parent. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

If a child understands the concepts of sin and forgiveness and wants to join in, then they are invited to a short class on a Sunday morning that explains the meaning of the sacrament. At the conclusion of this class they will join in on the next Sunday for first communion.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

First Communion Class will be held at 11:00am on February 8th.\u00a0 Please sign up with the office or on the kiosk.\u00a0 Participants\u00a0receive their First Communion on Sunday, February 15, 2015.\u00a0\u00a0 Please feel free to invite your child's Sponsors, Grandparents, and other family members to make this a truly special day for them.\u00a0 Congratulations to all families!<\/p>
