In confirmation we fulfill the promises made in Baptism here at Lord of the Lakes. It is through confirmation that each student takes ownership of their own faith development. Our confirmation program is one aspect of our youth program.<\/p>\n
Every Wednesday night our youth program (SWAG) meets to develop our students\u2019 everyday experiences of God. We include service and mission and active interaction with adult leaders.<\/p>\n
In ninth grade our students meet with Pastor Kevin on Wednesday nights (with their parents) for the month of March where Luther\u2019s Small Catechism is discussed in detail. We acknowledge that this is a starting point of faith.<\/p>\n

We encourage our 6th<\/sup>-9th<\/sup>-grade youth to be active in our youth program, which meets every other Wednesday and includes Bible Study, videos, group discussions and games.<\/p> In addition, we hope our kids become an active part of our outreach at the church, including summer mission trips, volunteering at our local thrift shop, as well as designing and presenting one service each year for the entire congregation.<\/p> Our Confirmation\u00a0curriculum for students (in 9th<\/sup> grade and older)\u00a0features four Wednesday evening sessions during March focusing on Luther\u2019s Small Catechism. Older students and adults who have not been confirmed are also welcome. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend with their kids.
